Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur (IIIT) is an Institution of National Importance, by an Act of Parliament (Act 23 of 2017) viz., the Indian Institute of Information Technology (Public Private Partnership) Act, 2017, which received the assent of the President of India on the 9th August, 2017. Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur is a joint venture of Govt. of India (50%), Govt. of Bihar (35%) and BELTRON (15%). The Institute started its first academic session from 1st August 2017. Bhagalpur is a city of historical importance on the southern banks of the river Ganges in the Indian state of Bihar. It is the 3rd largest city of Bihar and also the headquarters of Bhagalpur district and Bhagalpur division. Known as Silk City, it is a major educational, commercial, and political centre, and listed for development under the Smart City program. The ancient Vikramshila university, established in 9th century is just 38 km away from the campus.

Essential:

1.      Master’s Degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed from a recognized University/Institute.

2.      At least 15 years of experience as Assistant Professor in the Academic Level 11 and above or with 8 years of service in the Academic Level 12 and above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, or

3.      Comparable experience in research establishment and /or other Institutions of higher education, or

4. 15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be  as Deputy Registrar or an equivalent post.

Desirable:

1.        Professional qualification in the area of Management / Law / Engineering

2.   Officers under the Centrally Funded Technical Institutions/Organizations (IITs/IISc/IISERs/NITs/ IIITs etc.,) holding analogous position on a regular basis.

 

Age Limit – Not exceeding 55 years

 

Method of Recruitment – Direct Recruitment (with a provision of Deputation) for a tenure of 5 years or till attaining the age of 62 years, whichever is earlier or as fixed by the Govt. of India.

NT-2 Assistant Registrar Pay Level – 10

Essential:

Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade wherever grading system is followed in any discipline from recognized University/ Institution.

 

Desirable:

1.     Relevant    experience    in    the areas          of Administration/ Academic/Finance/Store& Purchase/Establishment.

2.     Professional qualification in the area of Management/Finance & Accounts/Law

3.     Proficiency in the use of computer applications, MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Age Limit – Not exceeding 40 years

Facilities are extended to employees of IIIT Bhagalpur as per IIIT Act and Statutes as well as decisions of the BOG of the Institute/relevant orders from MHRD, New Delhi.

2.       Application Fee:

 Each application must be accompanied by non-refundable Application Fee of ₹ 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only) for the post of Registrar and ₹ 1,500/- (Rupees One Thousand and Five Hundred only) for the post of Assistant Registrar. The Application Fee should be remitted through Demand Draft in favour of “Indian Institute of Information Technology Bhagalpur” payable at “Bhagalpur”. Please write Applicant Name / Post applied for on the back of Demand Draft.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION

  1. All recruitment and pay-fixation shall be done by the Board of Governors (BOG) of the Institute only on the recommendations of duly constituted Selection Committees. The Decision of the Appointing Authority shall be final. There shall be no scope of fixing of altering pay outside the Selection
