Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing the social media accounts for Digital Green in India in alignment with the global communication strategy. This position is also responsible for the designing of all communication materials, brochures / leaflets and other collaterals for workshops and for vendor development and management for collaterals and other communications activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

   Communications, Media and Branding Initiatives

  • Support Head of Fundraising & Communication in preparing annual plan and budgets for Media, Communications and Branding to support Digital Green’s visibility, branding and BD initiatives in India
  • Be accountable for successful implementation of Communications, Media and Branding initiatives within the approved budgets
  • Regular tracking and assessment of the impact of branding, media and communication initiatives/activities, to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure adherence to global communications guidelines and designs, formats, audio-visuals, templates themes, communication and publicity material, etc.

· Social Media Management, Website & Digital Communications

  • Manage all relevant social media accounts for Digital Green to effectively reach the target audience
  • Upload relevant updates and information on social media handles of Digital Green (Facebook, Twitter LinkedIn, etc.) on a regular basis, to enhance the visibility and reach of Digital Green in India.
  • Promptly respond to existing or prospective donors’/partners’ queries posted on these accounts / handles, if any with inputs from the Line Manager and other vertical heads as required
  • Regular updation of Digital Green  India’s website, with the latest and quality content with approval from Head – Fundraising & Communications  in line with the global communications guidelines
  • Work closely with the Line Manager To improve the visibility of Digital Green and enhance its brand value and digital presence by applying various techniques, such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Social Media Optimization (SMO) and Online Reputation Management (ORM)

Collateral Design and Development

  • Content development for communication and digital products, such as Blogs, Publications, Annual / Monthly Reports, Newsletters, Brochures / Leaflets and Infographics for Digital Green India in collaboration with the vertical heads
  • Work closely in development of collaterals to support BD / Fundraising efforts
  • To liaise with the vendors for designing, developing and printing of communications materials. In case of brochures, leaflets, banners, etc. for projects, liaise with the respective Regional Accounts, Programs team and the local vendor for printing of these materials

· Vendor Development & Management

  • To participate in the selection of vendors for Communications activities in India (such as for designing of communication material, printing of brochures/ leaflets, etc.)

To undertake vendor management to ensure delivery of quality goods and services as per service level agreements

Qualifications and Skills

●     Graduate / Post Graduate

●     5 – 7 years of relevant work experience in Marketing Communications, Social Media Management and similar roles

Skills

●     Experience working with a diverse team, including across time zones, cultures, English-language ability, and backgrounds

●     Willing and able to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment

●     Willing to travel occasionally both domestically and internationally

●     Flexible attitude towards changing priorities and ability to multi-task

●     Sound written and verbal communications skills, coupled with highly developed interpersonal skills

●     Extensive knowledge of branding principles and tactics through multimedia

●   Knowledge of communication models, PR theories and ability to design, develop and implement both communications and strategic programs

●   Extensive experience in social media management and designing of collaterals

·   Result orientation: Understands the demands of the communication vertical, has an ability to respond to the last minute demands and urgent tasks; timely escalates the issues to the Line Manager for important decisions so that work gets delivered within time, exhibits a problem-solving attitude.

·   Quality Assurance :  Ensures that all the communication material and reports of the organisation  follow global standards and contains updated information at all times.
